This eerie scene was photographed in the Pacific Northwest at Scott Lake which is located south of Olympia Washington. This was just a few minutes before it was completely dark. The fog was so thick you couldn't see the water and the lake was flooded which made it look like the dock was floating in the air but in reality was partially submerged. Photo taken in January 2013.
I'm a southern born and raised country girl at heart although I have resided in the beautiful state of Washington for over 30 years. I fell in love with the camera the first time I saw one. I needed no one to explain it's potential even at that young age. I'm a wife and mother of three and money was always tight while raising the kids. There was no time nor money back then to explore the magic with a camera. My children are now grown and retirement nears although my love for the lens has never faded. I'm now at a place in my life where I'm able to dive head first into my photography which is my passion. It amazes me still that I'm able to capture through my lens what the eye sees. I hope my work blesses those who see it as much as it has...
