This is the heart of my woods. There is so much beauty in nature if you just open your eyes. There is Vinca blooming everywhere (small forest flower), wild Rhododendrons, and so many birds singing at once. Time in the forest for me is nature's therapy. This photo was taken in Lacey, Washington. Spring 2016

I'm a southern born and raised country girl at heart although I have resided in the beautiful state of Washington for over 30 years. I fell in love with the camera the first time I saw one. I needed no one to explain it's potential even at that young age. I'm a wife and mother of three and money was always tight while raising the kids. There was no time nor money back then to explore the magic with a camera. My children are now grown and retirement nears although my love for the lens has never faded. I'm now at a place in my life where I'm able to dive head first into my photography which is my passion. It amazes me still that I'm able to capture through my lens what the eye sees. I hope my work blesses those who see it as much as it has...
